At the bottom of all the layers of wallpaper in old houses is usually a hand-printed wallpaper in ultramarine blue. It is precisely such a wallpaper and stencil paintings on the 18th-century estates of Vallhovs säteri and Landsberga kungsgård in Uppland that inspired the blanket BLÅKLINT.
